“Brave kids” takes us to the world of ballet dancers preparing their final recital on stage.
Through the story of four young women we discover what goes on both backstage and in their every day world. The classes, the long rehearsals, the pressure of their work and the sacrifices they must make, forge in their spirit and in their bodies their achievements, their dreams and the goals they reach. We see ordinary people transform into marvelous human beings. The way in which they face up to their physical and psychological shortcomings, the consequences of the sacrifices they make and the fulfillment of their duty draws with subtlety the valiant soul of our main protagonists: invisible in their daily toils, but wonderful and brilliant during the performance, when the audience enjoys the artistic miracle these brave kids build throughout the years, on the stage of a ballet work of art.

Meet Salvador Meneses in short film Brave Kids
This short film follows the story of 5 ballet dancers, and today we highlight Salvador Meneses´s story, a noble and sensible kid who discovered his artistic passion dancing ballet being just 5 years old.
At age 4, his kindergarden opened some arts workshops, and Salvador surprised his parents asking to take part in the ballet courses. Why ballet? Nobody knew, he simply said he liked it.
Salvador danced there for a year with Ballet Academy Tierra Colombiana, showing his great talent and skill, his family decided to look for more courses where he could explore his dancing abilities, finding in their search, that most ballet schools were girls only.
He finally enrolled at Ballarte School of Ballet in the beginning of 2012, and started his studies in classical ballet with a full scholarship, given to him by the School after witnessing his interest in the discipline being just 5 years old. He has been in many productions since, including Snow white 2012, Peter Pan 2013 and 2014 as a soloist, The Nutcracker 2014 and Cinderella 2015, and he obtained his Basic Level certification in Classical Ballet this year
Salvador´s journey through ballet, helps demonstrate the amount of discipline ballet requires, beyond art, sweat and body strain, it is bravery and courage the driving force behind this passion.
